Laughs in DVD

Get ready to laugh with the men in DVD this week. Will Ferrell tries to bring the funny to basketball, but it's a bit of a swish. Semi Pro has it's moments, but it's not great. It may be more satisfying in DVD than on the big screen. Not for the kids, pretty vulgar. I enjoyed the Vince Vaughn documentary, Wild West Comedy Show:30 Days & 30 Nights-Hollywood to the Heartland. Out in DVD, watch while Vaughn and four stand up comics hit the road to spread the funny! (I've noticed they renamed the film for DVD as "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show") Enjoy!

That's why I didn't see Semi-Pro in the theater. I think it will fit much better on the small screen with reduced expectations.

2D~ Semi Pro will do well in DVD, I feel bad for anyone who paid to see this in theaters (I went to a promotional screening), not worth the $$.

A funny bit in the Vince Vaughn flick has a standup comic mocking how customers at Ross have to dig on the floor for clothing -- no one ever bothers to clean up the place/put clothes back on the hangers and shelves.

Got a chuckle out of it ... and then new managament must have taken over at my local Ross because the shelves are all perfectly maintained now ... maybe they saw that routine, too and decided to clean up their image!
