Valkyrie

Valkyrie is a Hollywood version of one of the many assassination attempts on Adolf Hitler. Well acted, skilfully filmed, but since we know the outcome, they couldn't create any sense of urgency or suspense for me. Might be because I don't have a lot of sympathy for Nazis. I tried to like this film, but it was just mediocre for me.

I'm glad you caught up on a lot of films as I saw absolutely nothing over Christmas and now I'm way behind.

I think you nailed the lack of urgency issue for me with Valkerie.

Also, I want to see 'Button' but the running time is daunting. I think I'm going to try to catch it or 'Slumdog Millionare' this weekend.

franki~I know a lot of people who can't stand that "short little bonesmuggler" ha! He's an arrogant little know-it-all. That's no way to make friends.

2D~I got very caught up o my movies this weekend. Slumdog Millionaire is well worth your time. Go to a matinee of Benjamin Button, I thought the first half was slow. I had to psych myself up for a 3 hour sit. Would you believe people brought kids to see this? Good flick though.
