The Girl Who Played with Fire

The Girl Who Played with Fire is the second film based on a series of three books by Stieg Larsson. I really liked the film based on the first book, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. This second story feels like a transition story. Lisbeth is accused of a murder she didn't commit and Mikael ends up on a mission to save the day. The end was satisfying to me, because the "what next" factor is pretty high. These films are violent and disturbing, yet heartfelt, and you care about these flawed characters. Well done.

I never read the books. Though, I've seen the movies. I would say the first 2 had more action, they were very entertaining. And, the last one is more talking (less action) but does bring the trilogy all together. After I watched the first movie, I was a bit shocked at the violence and intensity. But, I did get intrigued by the series. It would be interesting to go back and read the books after seeing the movies and compare them. Thanks for sharing!

Film Gurl~I'll be interested to see this trilogy's resolution. Agree on reading the books. Putting them on my winter reading list.
