At a party last week, I was asked, "what are the must-see movies this summer?" I looked up from my cake and said, "go to the beach." Aside from Toy Story 3, there is little to recommend in our local theaters. A small ray of sunshine, peeking through the curtain of gloom that is this summer movie season, comes this weekend with a few good releases. Opening in RI this weekend is the acclaimed Cyrus. Predators and Despicable Me are getting decent reviews. Solitary Man and I Am Love will probably get my attention. For fun action there's Knight & Day. Toy Story 3 should be on everyone's list. Don't bother with 3D it looks great in 2D. Enjoy!
