Friday Flick Picks 5/29/09

There is joy in RI theaters this week, three wonderful films hit the cinemas and they couldn't be more different from each other. Pixar's summer offering,UP, is getting great reviews. Sam Rami's latest is a horror flick called Drag Me to Hell. This is another film that's been getting great buzz from the get-go. The third is a documentary called Anvil that everyone who sees it says, "see it". Also worth seeing in theaters is Night at the Museum:Battle at the Smithsonian, Star Trek, The Soloist and State of Play. The weekend is looking Up! (couldn't resist)

Can't decide about 'Drag Me to Hell' and I hear that 'UP' is great, but I have this bizarre aversion to animation (always figuring I'll catch them all when I have kids). I think I'll see 'Terminator' this weekend, although I think it will only be OK. Have a good one.

2D~I'm shamelessly hooked on all that is Pixar, we have one of the animators coming to Newport next week. Drag Me to Hell has had my interest from the get-go. Love Lohman and Long. I'll let you know if it's any good. Stay tuned .....
