Heartache and Hope in DVD

Out in DVD today are Capitalism:A Love Story, Up in the Air and Precious:Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire. Up in the Air and Precious are excellent films. Both have very difficult subject material. Unemployment, incest, rape, infidelity and loneliness make these tough films to watch. The writing, filming and performances make the heartache worth the look. Capitalism is typical Michael Moore. I was not impressed.

Very cool having the Oscar party. I thought it was a solid show that was too long per usual. My favorite line was from Martin to Streep about the Hitler memorobiiia. 'Precious' screenplay was my biggest surprise too.

Really want to rent 'Up in the Air' to watch again. Have a good weekend.
