Puppy Love In DVD This Week

Rocket Science is a good coming of age story that addresses the awkward high school years and the power of a crush.

A genuine gem. Utterly devoted to a nontraditional format/resolution, but achingly real all the same. It veers into "Napoleon Dynamite" territory at times, but it's ultimately superior in the ways that count.

Toto - I thought this was much better than Napoleon Dynamite.

I'm still trying to figure out "Napoleon Dynamite's" appeal. The first time I saw it I didn't "get" it, but figured I needed to watch it again and then something would click for me. The second viewing was more painful. Jon Heder made his career from it, and while he seems like a nice fellow he doesn't have much range beyond "Napoleon" style tics.
